Hm... well, there may be a reason for the unseasonal weather that we're having. According to this article on Yahoo, our friend "El Nino" is back, disturbing temperatures around the globe.

Best Place In New York City to Buy an Air Conditioner?

There is no best place, but you're better off at PC Richards, Home Depot or Best Buy. 

After you purchase it, try to transport it to your apartment yourself. Most of these stores want $50 just to transport it and then an additional $100 to install it. 

Save yourself some time and money, while getting better service. 

Which Unit Should I buy? What size?

People often ask me what unit I recommend. Well, I'll be honest, you can't go wrong with a Frigidaire or Fredrich. The latter of which is probably the best. Fredrich units are usually very quiet as well.
